Accountant/Financial Analyst                 

Position Summary:

To perform and/or oversee strategic, broad-impact financial analysis, reporting, and systems development for the company. May develop and deliver financial and business training programs as appropriate.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete/assist with completion of monthly financial reporting package, balance sheet reconciliation, fixed assets and research and analysis of variances both in the revenue and PTE area and below margin expenses.
  • Compile and analyze financial information from all components of the organizational entity and develop integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports and presentations.
  • Liability Management — Assists in raising large amounts of debt-and-structuring financing and refinancing alternatives with financial institutions.
  • Collaborates with and coordinates all components of the organization to ensure consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines.
  • Reports — Prepares certain quantitative reports for presentation to management, the Board of Directors, the shareholders, or others, as appropriate.
  • Provides leadership and coordination to various personnel engaged in specific project activities, as appropriate.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.  
  • Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex annual financial reports, statements and/or projections.
  • Database management skills.
  • Ability to plan, implement and administer financial information and control systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies.
  • Knowledge of a range of automated financial systems and applications software.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to professional personnel in area of expertise.
 Education:
  • The candidate should possess a four-year degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 2 years in public accounting or a quantitatively oriented function.
  • Strong administrative, organization, and communication skills.

The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of an office atmosphere.  Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of all safety regulations.
